Our team of board-certified optometrists, including Dr. Scott Miller and Dr. Calvin Ebels, brings extensive expertise to every patient interaction. Both doctors are highly trained in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions, from common issues like “red-eye” and dry eyes to more complex diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and cataracts. They also co-manage surgical procedures, including cataract and laser corrective surgeries, ensuring continuity of care throughout your treatment journey.

Dr. Scott Miller was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan. He obtained his Bachelor of Vision Science degree at Ferris State University and his Doctorate at the Michigan College of Optometry.
Since receiving his Doctorate in 1995, Dr. Miller has been a partner at Grandville Eye Care.
Dr. Miller sees patients of all ages and is board-certified to diagnose and treat eye diseases with emphasis in: glaucoma, diabetes, eye injuries and infections. He also co-manages laser corrective surgery and cataract patients.
Away from the office he enjoys road biking, golfing, traveling and leisure time with his family.
Dr. Calvin Ebels went to Calvin Christian High School and graduated in 1988. He obtained his Bachelors of Science degree at Ferris State University and his Doctorate at the Michigan College of Optometry. He has received many honors and awards throughout his academic studies. He has been a partner at Grandville Eye Care since 2014.
Dr. Ebels is qualified to diagnose and treat many different eye diseases, such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts and dry eye. He co-manages laser corrective surgery, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, and cataracts. He also provides eye care to patients of all ages and fits all types of contact lenses.
During his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, including his two grandchildren. Some of Dr. Ebels hobbies are golfing, classic cars, traveling and exercising.
Dr. Eric James, an Atlanta, Georgia native, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia with a bachelors in Biology and a minor in piano performance. He attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Dr. James specializes in dry eye disease management utilizing the latest advanced technologies to provide the best treatment options for his patients. Dr. James practices full-scope optometric medical care including the management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, eye injuries, infections and “red eyes”, specialty contact lens fittings, and pre-and post-operative care for cataract surgery.
Dr. James is also an InfantSEE provider who provides free eye exams to infants between the ages of 6 months and 1 year old.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his 2 children and wife, playing piano at church, smoking meats and playing tennis.
